the little things: item b

why the flip do they keep scheduling these evening social events for a half-hour after the conference lets out, and then only serving finger food?! listen, people, either give us dinner, or give us some time to soak our feet and put something in our stomachs to soak up the alcohol. think about the user experience.

sigh

anyway, no time to talk [see above]
time to see how google does.
if they only have egg rolls and celery, then i will eat the shirt they gave me last year.
it’s interesting, because i think that i would actually be more than fine with toning down the whole swag party culture. i would respect a company for going low key. for focusing more on the actual mingling and less on who has the biggest balloons, the coolest drink fobs, or the most insane door prizes.
but somehow, i don’t feel that this is the message they are trying to get across.
or if it is, they’re failing.
they just seem lazy.
and i’m hungry and tired, damnit.
and this isn’t a “little thing” anymore, so i’m gonna shut up and follow jesse and tiffanie out the door.
